Manilla (10A07)
A large copper alloy manilla or slave token found by a diver east of Drakes Island.
The picture below shows this manilla on the left alongside a smaller manilla recovered from the wreck of the Douro in the Isles of Scilly. The main part of the manilla is 18.4mm in diameter at the sides reducing to 9.2mm diameter in the centre. The end faces are 27mm by 30mm in size.
